Our passion is castles and history, and we created this website so that we could share our love and experiences of these magnificent landmarks.
This is a long term project of ours which we hope to grow over time as we get to research and explore these wonderful places (there are certainly lots of them). We want this website to be a place where people can learn all about castles, their history and find out what it is like to explore their sites by sharing our own research and experiences.

Maddie, I just came across your report on the Kidwelly Castle in Wales. I married into the Kidwell family here in Indiana some time ago and have recently done some research via ancestry.com. However, I’ve not been able to trace the town’s naming to anyone in particular (actually, I gave up for a while; need to get back to work!). Today, searching for castles in general, your video popped up. Thank you so much for your research and hard work.
Thank you for your comments. Researching family history can be very complicated, particularly if researching from afar as I have found with my own ancestry. I hope with your new enthusiasm you discover yours!
